MacFinish (MF)
|
The MacFinish II USB system is a professional color photo-finish system which electronically records the finish line up to 2000 times per second, and displays this photo information together with the corresponding time (with an accuracy of 0.0005 of a second) on the computer screen.
Besides the camera, lens and camera tripod we use photocells which are placed on both sides of the finishline, and can therefore automatically record the finish photo.
The latest versions, MacFinish II Ethernet and MacFinish III Ethernet, both have a high speed ethernet connection with the PC for a virtually unlimited distance between camera and PC, and complete remote control of all digital camera functions. |

VideoID
|
Identification of athletes? Have you ever noticed problems with the registration of the finish order for a 800m or 1500m race, where 8 or more persons almost simultaneously finished? In the past we used videotapes or DVD recorder & player + TV’s. As the first photofinish manufacturer in the world, we made the full integration of a DIGITAL video recording system in a photofinish system! Of course we started with our professional MacFinish 7.x software, and made it even better.
A high resolution digital video camera is placed 3 to 5 meters behind the finish line and connected with the photofinish computer. The finish video is automatically taken together with the photofinish image so the operator can concentrate on the race itself. Once the operator reads out the photofinish image the video file is imported in the MacFinish software. From this moment the MacFinish operator has the MacFinish image + a 2-dimensional video of the finish on his computer screen, to visualize the athlete bib numbers for a fast and correct athlete identification. The video window AUTOMATICALLY synchronises to the selected athlete in the photofinish window. Zooming in the video window is also possible.
Advantages:
- Automatic video capture, no additional action needed during the meeting
- Video auto synchronisation with MacFinish image
- Highlight result table synchronisation with MacFinish image
- Video file conversion for internet applications

FalseStart
(FS)
|
FalseStart
is an indispensable electronic system to assist the starter
in
his job to judge the simultanuous start of up to 10 athletes.
At
the same time, it transfers the sound of the starters
voice and the starting shot without any delay to a loudspeaker,
built
into every starting module giving every athlete
a fair and honest chance, whatever the distance between the
lane and started may be.
The
force applied by each individual athlete to its starting block
is measured a thousand times per second
by means of an electronic chip inside the starting module and
then sent to the electronic processor.
Each
module can easily
be mounted to and removed from a standard starting block
by means of self-adhesive velcro strips.
The
complete system, including
amplifier, a mini-printer, and 2 extension cable reels are neatly
built into a mobile trolley to quickly move around
the athletic
track. It is delivered with starters headset with
built-in microphone and different lengths of connection cables
(100m/200m/4x400m
races)
leading to the starting modules. |

WindSpeed
(WS)
|
Have
you ever wondered how it is possible to measure the
VARIABLE wind speed in athletics accurately?
Then
visit our page of the TimeTronics WindSpeed which undeniably
wipes out the disadvantages
of old-fashioned propellor devices. By means of an intelligent
processing of the delay of ultrasonic sound that is emitted
and received
by two sensors inside the hornes of the WindSpeed , the correct
wind speed is measured hundreds of times per second. The averaging
procedure, over the presettable period of 5,10 or 13 seconds,
calculates the result which then is rounded according to the
IAAF rules to create the final result. This result is automatically
transmitted to the MacFinish photo-finish (from which it also
received its start command), and at the same time showed
on the
small internal display and optional three-digit windspeed scoreboard. |

Scoreboards
(SB)
|
Whether
you look for a scoreboard to display the running or finish
time measured by the MacFinish, the result of the WindSpeed,
the remaining laps for the actual race or the detailed information
of the field events, you better stop searching and go to the
product section of the TimeTronics ScoreBoards.
Click
on the photo on the left side and discover the amazing features
and high quality of our numerical or graphical display boards,
which
also include
timing functions for HH:MM:SS or MM:SS:hh up-counting or MM:SS:hh
down-counting.
All
numerical versions are battery powered and
can be push-button operated by means of a small control box
or connected to a serial port of a personal computer. LED-type
of
display boards need 220VAC power and can be ordered in any
size
for indoor or outdoor use. |

Laser
Distance & Height measurement (EDM)
|
The
professional user can now make use of this electronic system
to
measure distance and height in an accurate and fast manner.
The
laser theodolite can measure in less than two seconds with
millimeter accuracy
which distance an athlete has throwed an implement or jumped
in long or triple jump. But also in the high jump and especially
in pole vault this modern instrument proves its value, when
it
both avoids measurement errors and unwanted delays if one
has to measure the bar at several meters high.
The
operator possesses of a personal computer or a FieldTerminal
to control the
processing
of their field event. Both will automatically receive the
laser data and calculate the required distance or height result.
Of
course also here a numerical, alfanumerical or graphical
scoreboard
can be connected to show all competitor and performance
data live
to the public. |
|
FieldTerminal
(FT)
|
Finally,
it is possible for the public to enjoy at the same time the
full
spectacle of the track races AND be informed of the details of
the different field events at the same time.
For
this feature we created the FieldTerminal (FT) which is used
to input the performance of
the athlete,
but
also to display all athlete and result information on a TimeTronics
(Field-)scoreboard.
Input
is done by means of the keyboard or
automatically by the external laser distance measurement
equipment. To make this product complete we have included a
built-in
printer (which is optional) and a connection for the WindSpeed.
This
WindSpeed
device will receive the measurement command from the FT
and returns the wind result of long or triple jump.
The
FieldTerminal
can be used inside a practical carrying case or inside
the mobile
trolley visible on the photo of the Laser Distance & Height
measurement equipment.
All
FieldTerminals will communicate
with a central PC running our Athletics Manager software (see below).
No extra cables are required for this communication,
as these
wires and connectors are included in the standard MacFinish
photo-finish cable system (underground or mobile cable
reel versions
available). |

Athletics Manager
software

|
The
TimeTronics Athletics Manager software combines the administrative
management of race events and field events.
The
first step is
the manual entry (or simpler the import from computer file)
of meet, events, teams and athletes information, which is followed
by the software composition of the different race and field
event
participant sheets. These sheets can be printed out for old
fashion
meet handling, but the Athletics Manager software will also continuously
communicate by cable with the MacFinish and all connected FieldTerminals
by cable, to live send and receive important data to and from
the T&F
meet.
Furthermore
it is possible to connect a stadium scoreboard
and/or a local or national television network to broadcast
the same information to the wider public. |

Training
System (TS)
|
The
athletics Training System times the reaction times of two
athletes
together with their split times after a (or optionally more)
selectable distance(s). For these split times the double photocell
box(es)
are connected with the same cable that is connected to the starting
modules. The photocells are using reflectors mounted on adjustable
metal tripods, so that all cabling is minimised. The training
system is fully battery powered, and also contains a built-in
printer for live printout of all recorded times.
